So Much to Celebrate!

Wow! We have so much to celebrate at GHS. The Building/Construction team led by Bryan Waters and Robert Smith traveled to Greenville last week and took first place in Teamworks division. The four man team that built the "little house" included Brad Keisler,Cesar Martinez, Zeke Kyzer, and Tony Marshall.
I would also like to congratulate the Gilbert Rugby Club on their State Championship. Coach Frontz led the team to beat Chapin for the "State Cup". They will represent the league, as arranged by their director, at the State House and will play in the Southern Regions at Furman University this weekend. Good luck guys!
It is Prom Week and we are so excited! Parents can preview the prom on Saturday evening from 6-7. I am sure you will be very impressed.
I am glad to be a Gilbert Indian!

Curriculum Night

Our Annual Curriculum Night was a huge success, especially for the rising 9th graders aka "Class of 2014". A huge thank you to Mrs. Covington and her focus team along with the guidance department for planning and preparing the evening that kicks off registration for 2010-11 school year.
Earlier in the evening, the teachers had dinner and fellowship before setting up their displays. I love spending time with the teachers at GHS. The bonding and friendship among our faculty and staff is so important in being a professional learning community and family. They are truly outstanding educators. My cup runneth over. Thanks again parents and students for spending the evening with us!
